President and founder of HR Factory
Émilie Poirier has solid experience of HR realities in SMBs. After more than five years as a human resources director, she joined the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), where she designs and deploys HR solutions tailored to SMBs in Quebec and across Canada. She also coordinates a large network of external consultants, which allows her to work on a wide variety of issues, contexts and business needs.
She then founded HR Factory with the goal of making human resources simpler, more concrete and more accessible to organizations. Her background lets her approach challenges from both a strategic and an operational angle, first seeking to understand what lies at the root of problems rather than intervening only on their symptoms.
Whether it is a matter of structuring an HR function, improving a process, supporting a change or backing managers, Émilie favors solutions suited to the reality of each organization. Her approach is built on collaboration, clarity and knowledge transfer, so that teams can take ownership of the practices put in place and make them evolve over time
